You can scan a document at one of the Canon printers and send the digital document to your home folder.
- Go to the Canon printer and log in. (Log in at a Canon printer)
- From the Home screen, tap [Secure Print Scan]
- Tap [Scan] in [SECURE QUEUE].
- Tap [Scan2home].
- Place the document into the document feeder or on the glass plate.
- Face up into the document feeder.
Important: You can place multiple sheets in the document feeder. However, use the glass plate for a bound document, damaged sheets, thin sheets, and stapled sheets.
- Face down on the glass plate.
- The display shows scan settings. You can set the scan settings and file format in the quick menu. Then press [NEXT].
Tip: Check if you want to change the set 1-sided /2-sided and Color / Black & White properties.
- If necessary, you can adjust more settings in the next screen.
- Press the green [Scan] button when all originals are placed.
- If you use the document feeder, all document originals are scanned.
- If you use the glass plate, the original that is on the glass plate is scanned. If your document consists of multiple originals, you can turn the sheet or put a new sheet on the glass plate. Then, again press the green button.
- Tap [Next] when all originals are scanned and sent to your home folder. You will return to the queue of the Secure Print Scan queue.
- Tap [Log out] or put your card on the card reader and wait until you hear a beep tone.
Important: When you forget to log out, other persons can print your jobs and read the contents. For security reasons, the printer automatically logs out after 9 minutes.
